When we hear about corporate social responsibility, we mostly think of large corporations and expensive campaigns. However, even a small company can conduct CSR activities. But what does that mean for the company? What exactly is CSR and why is it so important? What is CSR? CSR or Corporate Social Responsibility is a concept according to which the company not only concentrates on its own interests and developments, but also on the interests and problems of society or the environment in which it operates. This also leads to activities within the PR strategy and corporate image. The CSR activities that the company undertakes for its environment result from its responsibility and professionalism in building good relationships with the business and social environment. The activities carried out within the established and coherent CSR strategy have a real impact on improving social interests.
CSR only in a large company? While CSR can indeed often be associated with the big players in the market, it is absolutely not just for them. Many small and medium-sized companies get involved in donation campaigns for a good cause, help those in need, behave ethically towards employees or run campaigns to introduce and support ecological aspects. While these are activities that have a positive impact on the interests of society, they are not always strictly labeled as corporate social responsibility activities. However, regardless of the size and type of company, it is worth implementing CSR activities as even the smallest activities and changes are important. Why is it worth carrying out CSR activities in your company? Although social activities in the company can entail additional financial expenses, it is worth investing in them. The impact of actions not only affects building a positive image of the company, which translates into better relationships with customers, but the company also has a real impact on defining and building responsible policies and initiating important changes in society. More and more companies are convinced that CSR activities are valuable and it is definitely worthwhile to implement them in your company. This not only promotes their development, but above all has a positive effect on the interests of society. For this reason, Theska Germany has also decided to invest in activities that support the local environment. Since the industry in which the company operates has a direct impact on the environment, we have decided to focus in particular on the issue of environmental protection. Not far from the company headquarters is the Gersfeld Park, where park employees look after many species of animals, including protected animals. We decided to support the park’s activities. We are pleased to announce that we have officially become a sponsor of the Park Zoo in Gersfeld (Rhön). As part of our partnership and CSR activities, we took care of a snowy owl.
